When a boost is the right appointment
If your permanent brows are between one and two years old, still sitting in a shape you like, and simply lighter than they were, this is the appointment you want. It is a full re-saturation pass over the existing work, not a redesign. If the shape has stopped suiting you, or the colour has healed grey, blue or orange, book a consultation instead. That is a correction job and needs to be looked at in person before anything is added.
Colour drift is normal and correctable
Pigment does not just fade, it shifts. Warm browns cool down, cool browns can pull grey, and sun exposure accelerates both. Part of a boost is re-balancing the undertone against how your original work actually aged, so the refresh matches your current hair colour rather than the colour you had eighteen months ago.
How often to come back
Most clients settle into a rhythm of one boost every twelve to eighteen months. That interval stretches if you are diligent with SPF on your brows and avoid retinol and glycolic acid in that area, and shortens if you are outdoors constantly, which, in Northern Nevada, most people are.
Questions
Brow Color Boost, answered
A $150 touch up completes brand-new work at six to eight weeks. A $250 colour boost refreshes fully healed work a year or more later, and involves a full pass rather than spot corrections.
Usually, but not sight-unseen. Book a $50 consultation so the existing pigment can be assessed for depth, colour and shape before committing.
Every 12 to 18 months for most clients, sooner on oily skin or with heavy sun exposure.
