Why every new brow needs a second session
No permanent makeup appointment is complete after one visit, and any artist who tells you otherwise is selling you something. Skin retains pigment unevenly. Some strokes take fully, some drop 40 percent of their colour, and a small number vanish entirely. The touch up is where that is corrected: gaps are re-drawn, density is evened out, and the shape is refined now that it can be judged healed rather than fresh and swollen.
What is included
Ninety minutes covers reassessment of the healed shape, colour correction if the pigment healed warmer or cooler than intended, and a full second pass over anything that did not retain. Bring your honest opinion. This session is the right time to ask for slightly fuller, slightly darker, or a fractionally higher arch, and it is much easier to add than to take away.
Timing matters
Six to eight weeks is not arbitrary. Work on skin that has not finished healing and you are tattooing into inflamed tissue, which retains badly and risks scarring. Leave it much past twelve weeks and the pricing moves from the $150 touch up rate towards the $250 Brow Color Boost, because more work is involved.

That is exactly what the session is for. Say so at the start and the pigment will be adjusted before any work begins.
Six to eight weeks. Sooner risks working on unhealed skin; much later and it is priced as a colour boost instead.
